It is also important to drive risk mitigation activities to secure a compliant state of the business. The overarching aim is to contribute to the financial outlook for L&S in the area. They take on an integral role when it comes to leading the product lifecycle for our new products including but not limited to gathering requirements, developing business cases, training and rollout, and commercial material.Maersk’s Ground Transportation organization in Canada is looking for an ambitious individual to strengthen our team as a Pricing Specialist. We are looking for someone who has a good understanding of Maersk’s strategy as well as business and commercial drivers—experience in operations and pricing is an advantage when applying. Customer experience will be highly valued in the selection process as well.Job responsibilitiesBe a key party in Inland Haulage quote requests involving Ground Transportation through assisting in providing information around trucking prices, market rates, comparable yields and pricing levels.Organize and prioritize Spot Quote requests in various platforms and ensure all data is uploaded and up to date.Work with procurement to provide spot quotes to customers in a way that maximizes revenue and provides value added services.Support the Ground Transportation Pricing Management with the execution of Ground Transportation strategy to drive its profitable growth in NAM.Actively promote NAM Ground Transportation services offering across the organization and support NAM Area Ground Transportation Plan, including market mapping/evaluation, competitive environment, ground transportation strategy, transport optimization, target customers, pricing strategy, support/training to Sales.Create, analyze and maintain pricing reports, audits, statistical analysis and business intelligence reports.What you bring3 - 5 years pricing experience Transportation or Logistics is required.Bachelor’s degree in supply chain/Logistics considered an asset.Microsoft BI experience a plus.Computer Literate: Must be computer literate with a proficiency in Word; Excel (expert knowledge preferred i.e V-look-up/Pivot table a must) and PowerPoint.Ability to organize and prioritize workload; ability to meet deadlines.Must possess strong communication; (both oral and written); creative problem solving; data driven decision making; and strong solution development skills.Organized: Must be highly organized, can multi-task, has good time management skills and attention to detail.Confidential: Must be able to maintain confidentiality regarding sensitive information.Interpersonal: Must possess strong interpersonal skills (both verbal and written).Self-motivation: Having a positive attitude, strong sense of urgency, and the initiative to work independently.Conflict resolution: Have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to establish a rapport with others. Know how to be persuasive with the ability to stay calm.We offer a competitive salary range of $70,000-$75,000, as well as a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, and paid time off.The above stated pay range is the anticipated starting salary range for the position. The Company may adjust this range in light of prevailing market conditions and other factors such as location.
