Canada’s National Ballet School is currently inviting applications for the full-time, permanent position of Community Dance Administrator. Join us and contribute to our mandate to make dance a vibrant, joyful part of all Canadians’ lives.Reporting to the Manager of Professional Development Programs and Public School Programs, The Community Dance Administrator plays a vital role by providing overall administrative support to a dynamic team of program coordinators and managers. Key duties include coordinating and disseminating program schedules, scheduling meetings, recordkeeping, responding to inquiries, and supporting program evaluation through data collection and reporting. The ideal candidate will be passionate about the community, detail oriented and enjoy a collaborative, creative work environment.Major Duties and Responsibilities: Coordinates and disseminates weekly program schedule, maintains master calendarsAssists with departmental communications by phone/email and in-person inquiriesSchedules and books meetings, disseminates meeting minutesMakes travel arrangements e.g., booking flights, car rentals, taxis, and hotel reservations and creates/disseminates travel itinerariesSupports data collection/entry related to program evaluation and reporting (e.g., digital asset video views, participation numbers, participant demographics)Maintains records including invoices, participant waivers, and media releases etc.Supports equitable, inclusive and safe practices that create a culture of belonging for staff, participants and familiesAssists with special events such as NBS Block Party and other community programming and performancesQualifications/Skills/Experience:Post-secondary education in office practices/administration or a related fieldExperience working in an administrative capacity, arts and/or program administration considered an assetStrong knowledge of MS Office (Outlook, Word, and Excel) and experience with registration and scheduling systemsCapacity to become proficient in additional scheduling, registration and data management platforms (e.g. Raisers Edge, Calendly, Qualtrics, Smart Rec);Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail;Strong interpersonal skills; good verbal and written communication skillsCollaborative and creative; adaptive to learning new programsExcited to work in a dynamic collaborative environmentSuccessful candidates must supply Canada’s National Ballet School with a Police Reference Check in accordance with the School’s Child Abuse/Sexual Abuse Prevention Policy; this will be coordinated through the Human Resources Department of NBS.Join our team today!
