Job Summary Job Description What is the opportunity? The Vancouver RBC Capital Markets Team is hiring a Vice President Corporate Banking. You will effectively support the overall corporate banking team, manage your client portfolio through well executed sales routines as well as delivering sound financial advice. You will also be responsible for developing innovative borrowing structures that meet and exceed client needs and expectations, proactively identifying, referring and fulfilling on new opportunities as appropriate, promoting collaboration amongst the Corporate Banking relationship team, RBC CM partners and stakeholders. What will you do? Lead ongoing communication and interface with all appropriate business and functional partners in ensuring the smooth and seamless delivery of services to clients Develop, maintain and strengthen relationships with Cross Enterprise business partners Collaborate with internal partners to exhaust all options to fully and completely resolve client concerns, and contribute to an effective and efficient end to end fulfillment Structure acquisition loans, bridge loans and corporate revolvers for identified clients and targets. Preparation of credit submissions and other documentation related to the transaction approval process (including assistance related to loan syndications, pipeline management, and loan administration) through closing and ongoing monitoring. Structure, pitch, and provide guidance to Consumer & Retail clients on syndicated and bilateral loan transactions. Provide proactive corporate banking coverage for portfolio clients including identification of cross sell opportunities such as trading, hedging, Debt Capital Markets and Equity Capital Markets. Proactive portfolio management including timely updates on client, industry and market performance, particularly in connection with any signs of potential deterioration or developments requiring amendments/waivers to existing loan documentation. What do you need to succeed? Must have Advanced Degree with a focus in Business, Economics, Mathematics or other quantitative fields, CFA or other relevant professional designation, or acceptable work experience in Corporate lending/finance. Minimum 7 years of related work experience in corporate finance and/or corporate banking, with a minimum of 3 years in a corporate lending capacity. Strong financial modeling abilities, as well as superior writing and presentation skills. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Power Point Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to maintain relationships at all levels within and outside of the organization. Ability to take initiative and function independently balanced with strong team skills. Must have primary calling responsibilities; leveraged and investment grade names. Must have recent experience lending / covering the Consumer & Retail industry. Whats in it for you?
