Al-Ameen College is a co-educational K-12 college with a strong focus on academic achievement, promotion of Islamic ethos and discipline.Assistant to the PrincipalWe seek a committed, highly professional and appropriately experienced Assistant to the Principal wishing to join the College community on a full-time basis. The role of the Assistant to the Principal is to provide administrative duties to support the Principal and senior managers. You will work collaboratively with all stakeholders and provide empathy towards the students and sensitivity for their circumstances. The role of the Assistant to the Principal is by virtue of its setting, quite broad. In consultation with the Principal and other members of the College Leadership team, the Assistant to the Principal has a key role to play in meeting the day-to-day administrative needs of the College community and in planning for the longer-term coordination of College events, especially those relating to the enrolment of students and the provision of information to parents. The management of essential school information in a manner that is both confidential and professional is a key responsibility of the role.The ideal candidate will:Support positively the Islamic ethos, values and mission of Al-Ameen College;Be able to maintain the highest degree of confidentiality, diplomacy and tactfulness, and engage positively within and beyond the College community at all times;Be experienced in the provision of high level of executive and administrative support to a Senior Manager on a day-to-day basis; a strong working knowledge and understanding of a school environment will be looked upon favourably;Be an effective communicator with highly professional written and verbal communication skills and the ability to develop positive relationships with all stakeholders through a calm and warm demeanour;Have flexibility of approach with the ability to adapt to the quickly changing requirements of day-to-day office activity;Possess well developed time and project management skills and be able to work autonomously and prioritise work in order to meet deadlines;Be meticulous in diary management, record-keeping and organisation processes;Experience as an Executive Assistant or equivalent working with executives or senior management in an independent school setting;Qualifications relevant to the role;Experienced in student enrolment, Department of Education census data, NAPLAN, registration, minutes of meetings and annual reporting;Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, that can be used effectively with staff, parents, students and stakeholders;High standard of organisational and time management skills with an ability to prioritise tasks, meet prescribed deadlines and concurrently manage a number of competing tasks;Experienced and proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suites at an advanced level;Ability to format and present information accurately, timely and logically;Event planning experience;Valid Working with Children Check;Police Clearance;Applicants must be permanent Australian residents.The PackageCompetitive salary offered will commensurate with qualifications and experience.The successful applicant will commence immediately.Closing date for all applications is Friday, 8 November 2024.Applications must include a full curriculum vitae, address the essential criteria, and include the names and contact details of 3 referees.
