The Opportunity RVS invites applications for the on-call, casual positions of Caretaker I for the 2024-2025 school year for the Airdrie Area . Caretaker I, on call casuals, are called to work on an as needed basis, at any of our schools for all Rocky View Areas. You must be available a minimum of 8 instructional days per month, be accessible by telephone and internet, and provide your own transportation. All candidates must be available for an interview. These positions do not qualify for benefits or sick leave. We seek candidates who possess the following: Ability to work independently and perform assigned tasks within a team environment Routine cleaning Attention to detail related to varied and complex cleaning tasks Keeps assigned sidewalks, steps, and entrances free from ice and snow Demonstrated pride in workmanship Experience working in accordance with Occupational Health & Safety, WHMIS and other relevant legislation Performs building security checks as scheduled by the Head Building Operator Positive references Education/Experience Previous cleaning experience is considered an asset Certifications from cleaning organization is considered an asset Previous experience within a school division is considered an asset An equivalent combination of Education and Experience may be considered Knowledge/Skills Basic knowledge of proper cleaning procedures Ability to successfully work in a team environment as well as independently with minimal supervision Effective written and verbal communication skills Pre-employment Requirements The successful candidate(s) must submit a current Criminal Record and Vulnerable Sector Check within 30 days of the start of your employment Proof of qualifications/education as required by the position Open to: Internal and External applicants Salary: Starting hourly rate $20.40 How to Apply We request all applications be placed through http://rockyview.simplication.com/.
