We are currently on the hunt for a permanent, full-time, Senior Accountant, Tax and Advisory to join our client, a very successful public tax and financial planning firm located in Oakville, focusing on helping high-income earning families and entrepreneurs.If you're a CPA with at least 3 years of experience, looking to transition to a boutique firm with great work-life balance, a predictable schedule, minimal overtime, high-end clientele from diverse industries, and a collaborative, high-energy team, then this could be the perfect role for you! You'll also have access to the company's off-shore bookkeeping support team. This firm is not focused on rapid growth, but rather on accuracy, quality work, and overall client and employee satisfaction. Your future compensation will be reflective of your demonstrated abilities and contributions.You'll be managing a portfolio of CCPC clientele mainly within the professional services space, including healthcare as well as boutique real estate construction firms, small manufacturers, and real estate investors. You'll prepare compilation engagements, manage tax compliance, strategize owner-manager remuneration, and identify tax-planning and financial planning opportunities for our advisory team.This role offers a starting salary of $85,000 (with opportunity for earnings growth), full comprehensive benefits, 3 weeks of vacation + 1-week year-end office shutdown, with a tight-knit team that likes to foster a fun and upbeat environment. You'll be working on-site at their Oakville office to start, Monday-Friday 9 AM to 5 PM, with the ability to work from home on Fridays once you've settled into the role. What's in it for YOU: A collaborative workplace culture that values work/life balance, with minimal overtime Competitive annual salary of $85,000 Full medical benefits Payment of CPA fees and annual CE allowance 3 weeks of vacation + 1 week year-end shutdown WFH Friday’s granted with confidence in the candidate's abilitiesPrimary Responsibilities as a Senior Accountant, Tax and Advisory: Serve as the primary point of contact for a portfolio of CCPC clients & manage tax compliance & financial reporting needs Deliver high-level, consultative client service reflective of the company's brand and values Develop compilation engagements using Caseware Clean up of books using QBO Prepare and file various tax returns including T2, T1, T3, HST, T5013, T5018 using iFirm Develop tax-saving strategies; prepare comprehensive tax planning memos to partnersWhat You Bring to the Table: Minimum of 3+ years of experience in public accounting and tax preparation (corporate and personal) Canadian CPA designation or completed CFE with fulfilled hours Demonstrated proficiency with small CCPC clientele and strong tax knowledge Advanced written and verbal communication skills Direct experience with Caseware, QBO, and ifirm is a strong asset Completion of in-depth tax courses such as MTAX, or extensive tax-focused work is a strong asset CCPC audit and review experience is an assetIf this Senior Accountant, Tax and Advisory role in Oakville excites you as the next chapter in your accounting career, we encourage you to apply immediately!
