Digital Analog Board Designer Permanent position | Full-Time | Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue, Montreal (QC) Remote work: Hybrid Are you a Digital Analog Board Designer or would you like to become one? If your answer is yes, it’s your lucky day as we are looking for a dynamic and talented person to join our team in the aerospace sector! What will your rolebe? The Senior Digital Analog Board Designer will be responsible for the design of digital processing/control, motor control, sampling or pattern generation boards for space applications. These boards will include FPGAs and occasionally CPUs and various serial and parallel interfaces. Space applications include space robotics, telecommunications (including constellations), radar imaging, CPU boards, etc. In this project, your main responsibilities will be: Convert board level requirements into a board design concept Prepare an electrical schematic, a list of parts and initial part layout placement Plan board routing and provide routing requirements and constraints Supervise board layout and review board gerbers, board & assembly drawing Support board assembly and conduct tests on initial models Prepare functional and environmental test plans & procedures for flight models What qualifications are we looking for? You have: A Bachelor’s degree in engineering discipline or equivalent Minimum of 8 years of experience in designing CPU, digital and analog boards Proficiency with a schematic entry tools, such as Mentor Xpedition or PADS Familiarity with software such as MathCAD, Spice, Matlab Knowledge about bare/unassembled board manufacturing processes Proficiency with MS Office products Experience in performing analyses Knowledge of part types Comfortable and efficient in a laboratory environment Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills Ability to manage subordinates Good verbal and written communication skills in English and French Assets: Knowledge of robust designs Knowledge of the effects of space radiation on parts Exposure to mechanical encapsulation Experience with high-speed digital design and layout Why join us?
