Job Requirements / Description
The RoleThis position will report to the AML Compliance Manager and will assist in helping to maintain oversight of the AML/OFAC program and mitigate risk. The individual will prepare accounts ready for opening in line with company procedures and AML guidelines. In addition, a part of the role will be for special projects and completing administrative tasks for both the AML Compliance Manager and Chief Compliance Officer.ResponsibilitiesPrepare for opening of new accountsResponsible for ensuring the accuracy of information required for opening of new accounts.Conduct due diligence review for customers at on-boardingResearch beneficial ownership with account relationshipsLiaise with internal and external customers to clarify company ownershipAuthorize accounts as requiredAdhere to AML RegulationsConduct on-going monitoring of high-, medium-, and low-risk relationshipsMaintain Politically Exposed Person Register with up-to-date information and review these relationships on a periodic basisReview customer transactions for compliance with our BSA/OFAC programAssist with our OFAC, PEP, and other BSA regulatory programsEnsure all documentation is completeStore all documentation correctly and update internal system(s) accordinglyMaintain paperwork to company standardsResponsible for completing weekly, monthly, and ad hoc statistics and tasksWho You ArePersonal AttributesExcellent work ethics and fantastic attention to detailsProfessional and personableDetermined and drivenSelf-motivated and have the ability to work independently and within a team environmentSkills and Experience0-2 years of experience in financial compliance spaceMust be able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environmentMust have great organizational skills including the ability to prioritizeMust have excellent oral and written skillsProficient in Excel and WordEducationBachelor’s Degree or equivalent experienceLanguagesEnglish (native or fluent)Mandarin or another second language (such as French or Portuguese) is a plus, but not a requirementOur Company is committed to creating a diverse environment and is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
