Please use the following link to apply: Apply Here About the Role:The Associate Director, Academic Records and Scheduling Operations is responsible for overseeing the construction of all academic and course timetables as well as formal examination scheduling. The role is also responsible for conducting space utilization analyses to support institutional planning and decision-making related to strategic enrolment management and institutional risk. Guided by the University’s strategic plan and the ORES strategic plan, the Associate Director coordinates and engages in the planning, development, maintenance, operations, and ongoing enhancement of the student scheduling software and applications, student records procedures as well as providing leadership relative to course and examination academic integrity and reporting. The role provides institutional leadership in maintaining the highest standards for accurate student records and related processes, ensuring Brock University policies, process and procedures are maintained, consistently applied, and uphold institutional integrity. The Associate Director partners with units across the University to play a key role in defining, analyzing and satisfying the requirements of academic space utilization to maintain and enhance student, staff and community experience. The Associate Director will: Ensure critical dates for academic course timetable production are met and that the timetables are free of conflict and meet highest possible quality standards for students and faculty at Brock; Determine parameters for course timetable and examination construction algorithms which must meet the requirements of University approved-programs and comply with collective agreement language, Faculty Handbook regulations, instructor and faculty accommodations, and physical space constraints; Support the Registrar and Director in all academic policies related to timetabling of courses and examinations; Oversee enhancement initiatives pertaining to scheduling software to create efficiencies; Oversee all communication related to examinations, and the examination printing process to ensure academic integrity and confidentiality; Generate, interpret and analyze institutional space utilization reports and provide recommendations, while continuing to adhere to Council of Ontario Universities (COU) standards and practices; Identify opportunities for effective space management, planning and utilization in accordance with University strategic initiatives, academic mission and risk management guidance; Oversee compliance with Records Management policies and advise partners on responsibilities with regards to destruction and security of records; Provide managerial direction and leadership to the Scheduling and Examinations and Academic Records teams. Key Skills and Experience: A university degree in business, mathematics, data management or other applicable field and 3 to 5 years’ experience in a similar field including business analysis or scheduling function; Demonstrated knowledge of scheduling processes and experience working with scheduling software; Strong project management skills; Experience working with a Student Information System; 3 to 5 years’ experience leading and managing a team of direct reports; Demonstrated knowledge of University governance, academic regulations and academic structure and program requirements; A strong understanding of University policies, procedures, guidelines and university systems and processes; Exceptional computer proficiency including MS Office, Workday, Excel, database, hardware, security, system testing, web solutions and support and troubleshooting of systems and software; Knowledge of processes to generate reports and interpret data to formulate recommendations to support Registrar’s Office business processes; Demonstrated ability to learn new software and acquire new technical proficiencies; Ability to present complex information in an understandable and compelling manner; Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to successfully develop and maintain effective working relationships across diverse groups and levels; Strong analysis, troubleshooting, problem-solving and critical-thinking skills; Ability to embrace change and thrive in a fast-paced, competitive environment. Salary and Total Rewards: Job Grade N, Salary Scale ($75,460-$129,360); Target Hiring Range: $75,460-$93,000; This position includes full comprehensive benefits including tuition waiver.
