The goal of the transformation is to retire multiple disjointed legacy data marts and build a consolidated modern data lake house platform using big data technologies. The new platform will be leveraged by other internal applications as well as end users for BI and analytics.The role involves building the new platform along with coordinating with all consuming application teams and end consumers to migrate them to the new platform. This role requires a combination of skills across business analysis, FX domain expertise, big data technical architecture, project management, people management, stake holder management and driving consumer adoption.Responsibilities:• Deep expertise in Big Data, data warehouse, data analytics projects, and/or any Information Management related projects• Apply business strategy while driving technology strategy, balancing short term and long term needs to ensure that the architecture can scale and evolve accordingly• Engage an end-to-end approach by connecting all the pieces of data and deliver a streamlined model• Strong knowledge of data manipulation languages such as Spark, Scala, Impala, Hive SQL, Apache Nifi and Kafka necessary to build and maintain complex queries, streaming and real-time data pipelines.Requirement:• Minimum 10 years of progressive information management solutions and end-to-end development life-cycle support and SDLC processes• An in depth understanding of Spring Boot, Microservices and Cloud solutions (AWS, Azure and/or Google Cloud Platform) and experienced in integrating into traditional hosting/delivery models• Experience with two or more of the following areas including Python, Spark, Scala, Hadoop, Data bricks, Snowflake, Shell, Perl, Core Java, Impala, Hive etc.• Bachelor's degree in computer science or relevant field from an accredited college or university; Master's degree from an accredited college or university preferred.• Established experience delivering information management solutions to large numbers of end users.• Experience in Financial Services domain, specifically in FX Trading is strongly preferred• Demonstrated understanding of enterprise data warehouse, big data, BI & analytics, content management and data management.• Good knowledge in DevOps engineering using Continuous Integration/ Delivery tools.FD provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local laws.Candidate personal data will be processed in line with our Global Candidate Privacy Notice available on our website.
