Location:HAMILTON BASE9300 Airport Road, Unit 110, Mount HopeHamilton, ON L0R1W0, CANThe Supervisor, Charter Operations is responsible for leading all charter logistics planning, coordination, and execution for each mission. This includes coordinating all operational aspects, such as aircraft, tentative schedules, crew, ground handling, internal communications and regulatory approvals to ensure global safe and compliant charter operations.This position reports to the Vice President, Cargo Movement Control (CMC).Essential Position Functions:Key Point of contact for the Charter Sales Department for fit and containment checks on charter requests.Provide build plan or guidance on build requirements for charter freight to CJT bases and/or loadmasters.Determine ULD requirements for charter freight buildup.Coordinate with ULD Management to ensure sufficient stock is available and prepared for each operation.Determine requirements for additional buildup materials for all charter freight, shoring, skids, additional restraints, etc.Ensure all buildup and loading materials sourced meet applicable safety requirements.Confirm all required equipment is loaded onboard for each operation, and coordinate with ULD Management for the return of any equipment left at non-CJT stations.Schedule building for charter requests.Confirming aircraft availability.Slot applications and management for charter operations.Confirm that stations have assigned loadmaster and maintenance support.Provide back up relief to the Charter Operations Manager.Other duties as assigned by the Vice President, Cargo Movement Control.Minimum Qualifications:Minimum of 5+ years’ experience working in an operational airline environment in a supervisory or management position.Experience in airline operations, including flight operations, crew scheduling, ground operations, and charter logistics.Strong experience in Ground Handling Logistics and Load Master Programs.Strong organizational skills and comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment, and adaptable to ever-changing situations.Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills to work with all respective departments.Must possess and display an anticipatory and proactive management style.In-depth knowledge of company policies, procedures, operations, and systems.Comprehensive understanding of legislative compliance issues related to employment and transportation regulations and statutes.Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and related software.Strong problem-solving abilities and analytical skills.Ability to multi-task & work well under pressure.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.SMS, WHMIS, Back Safety, Security training and relevant H & S courses, etc.Important to Know:Cargojet is an equal opportunity employer.
