The company has offices in New York, London, Hong Kong, and Toronto, along with three full-service distribution centres across North America. The company offers a range of solutions to North American retail customers including private label, exclusive brands, licensed brands, and brand distribution. With expertise in product design, manufacturing and merchandising, Garbo Group offers a diverse range of over 5,000 SKUs, spanning categories such as fashion jewelry, watches, hair accessories, soft accessories, cosmetic accessories, as well as seasonal and general merchandise. Garbo Group is in search of a motivated Director of Sales to join and enrich their leadership team. Reporting directly to the President & Chief Executive Officer, the Director of Sales will play a pivotal role in managing both the existing customer base and expanding the company’s market growth. This role requires a strategic thinker who can balance day-to-day sales management with long-term growth initiatives, ensuring sustainable success and alignment with the company’s goals. Position Requirements: Diploma or degree in Business Administration, Marketing or related field. 7+ years of progressive sales experience, including 3-5 years in a leadership role, with a proven track record of managing major retail accounts and consistently meeting or exceeding growth targets; CPG experience is an asset.Direct experience calling on and developing relationships with U.S. retailers in mass merch, drug or grocery channels.Demonstrated experience leading and developing retailer specific new product offerings or custom solutions.Strong orientation for action and initiative, with a relentless drive to results. Passion and experience in fashion, retail, or related consumer goods categories.  Proven leader, mentor, and coach who has developed people managers. Can point to a track record of developing direct reports.Highly honed communication skills, with the ability to influence across all levels and all functions of the organization and customer base. Demonstrated examples of robust relationships, ultimately producing positive outcomes for the business.Strong critical thinking and analytical skills, with the capability to translate complex data into actionable strategies.Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment and inspire others towards growth and achievement.Willingness to travel domestically and internationally (as needed) for customer meetings and trade events. Garbo Group offers a competitive salary and annual incentive program, work flexibility, competitive vacation time allotment, and health & dental benefits. All applications and inquiries will be treated as confidential.
