We're seeking an Engineering Manager with expertise in Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS). The People Technology team builds, configures, and implements all people systems used by Yelp to manage its global workforce. As the leader of this team, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of technology that supports People Operations and any department that supports Yelp employees. You will partner with business leaders, cross-functional managers, executive leadership, and employees across Yelp to strategize and implement technology, workflows, and business processes. You will lead a team of individual contributors to meet project objectives and integration deployments, manage individual growth planning, and be able to work in a people centric environment. What you'll do: Foster and build a fun, diverse, and inclusive culture that reflects . Own the long-term strategic roadmap for People Technology to support needs across the employee life cycle. Manage a team responsible for the development and implementation of new solutions. Mentor your reporting team, helping them grow as leaders while enabling them to foster strong relationships with their stakeholders to maximize the potential of our people systems. Cultivate the talent within your group, empowering systems engineers to have a broad impact across the engineering organization. Support the relationship with the human resources teams to be a strategic partnership, becoming an integral part of the success of the People Operations team and their mission. Collaborate with all Yelp employee-focused teams to prioritize and implement scalable, automated technological solutions. . What it takes to succeed: Previous experience as a manager with a “people-first” approach; maintaining a healthy team culture is your priority, and you lead through empathy. A technical background that allows you to guide your team through evaluating trade-offs during design and development. Ideally 3 years of People Management experience Ideally several years experience with a cloud-based People Technology solution Ideally several years experience, at any level, in all phases of system implementation (requirements, design, build, launch, testing) in a fast-moving environment. Subject matter expertise and systems background in Human Resources. Working knowledge in XSLT, JSON, Javascript and BIRT What you'll get: Compensation range is $165,000 - $280,000 CAD annually. You may also be offered a bonus, restricted stock units, and benefits. This opportunity has the option to be fully remote in all locations across Canada.
