In business for over 30 years, PBS is the third largest DMS (Dealership Management System) provider to the North American retail automotive industry. Our software can run all aspects of an automotive dealership with sales, service, inventory management, and accounting modules.The Role:As a Automotive Software Team Lead (DTO Team Lead – Fixed Ops), you will drive corporate growth by facilitating implementations of software with a strong focus on long term feature adoption to our dealership customers.As a tactical leader, you are concerned with the here and now. With short term decisions, executing project and installation plans, and balancing the needs of team members with the needs of the company. You will lead a strong group of product and industry experts who move fast. They are structured, but with a keen focus on doing what is uniquely necessary to get dealerships using the PBS products and services. With your team, you coach dealership personnel in software, best practices, and change management.Your responsibilities will include managing the daily activities and schedules of your team, overseeing ongoing projects, and alerting management of any issues before they arise.You must be passionate, organized, consistent, detailed, empathetic, motivating, and confident.Job Responsibilities:Leadership Responsibilities:Remain calm under pressure, professional, and focused.Be a role model to your team members and an example of what DTO expectations are.Accurately communicate policy, direction, and vision.Foster a supportive work culture, take care of your people, and positively represent PBS.Support an evolutionary environment where team members are encouraged to improve processes and push themselves (and PBS) to grow.People Management:Involved in recruiting and retention programs, some HR responsibilities.Onboarding and ongoing training of your team members.Support, mentor, motivate, and encourage team members on job achievements.Keep the team engaged and focused forward, identifying staff challenges and engaging management as necessary.Department Management:Coordinate staff schedules, training, and workload.Project oversight on all assigned installations and other projects.Provide support, guidance, and take responsibility for complex incidents and/or deployments.Ongoing queue management, project overviews, reporting, and analysis.Individual Requirements:Stay on top of your silo of expertise.Maintain silo certifications.Understand and occasionally perform all duties of the Sr. Specialist related to software, ticketing, escalations, process, etc.Stay engaged with product evolution by attending available development meetings and proactively engaging with other PBS teams in your area of expertise.Maintain a focus on your own Professional Development.A better understanding of the other software silos, departments, and things that integrate with your silo of expertise is something all leadership should remain engaged in.Engaged in personal and professional development activities from soft skills to industry and/or management courses.Ability to lead/manage your silo of expertise in deployments if required, and coach team members in the same. Willingness to attend larger installations as needed.Be adaptable, fluid, and flexible.Build cross-departmental relationships and learn from your manager.Confidently and professionally represent DTO and promote your silo across the company and in the field.Qualifications:Experience in the Parts and/or Service area of a dealership.3+ years previous experience in the automotive industry, dealership, or PBS environment.Previous experience in managing high-performing teams is an asset.Thorough understanding of your silo, and how it integrates with the other areas of v10.Solid understanding of the different areas of PBS as they relate to your silo.Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office, a quick learner, and technologically savvy.Exceptional communication skills.Fluent in English, French is an asset.Ability to travel within Canada and the USA is required (approx. 4-8 weeks/year); in consequence, a valid passport and/or US visa (if applicable), and a valid full-class driver’s license are required.What we offer:Internal promotion and growth opportunities.An education department dedicated to helping you with professional and personal development.The opportunity to travel.Free parking.Staff events.Competitive annual base salary.Bonus for product certification up to $4,800 per year.Great referral bonus.Staff discounts with GM, Dell, Goodlife, and more.Should you be selected for an interview, you will be contacted via email.
