Account Manager - International Logistics

Our client specializes in the transportation of priceless art and antiques. Their team of experts have significant experience of working with private clients and collectors, as well as galleries, museums, auction houses and dealers. Account Manager - International Logistics This role will provide a professional, courteous, and efficient service to clients, vendors, and employees while performing a client management function. Target potential new clients and market sectors within the US and internationally to generate increased margins and profitability. Maintain an overview of existing and potential client accounts and market sectors. Job Type:  Full-time Responsibilities: Primarily working in the Auction House department. Exposure to other areas (such as other auction houses, galleries, and designers) will still occur in time, but the main focus is to service specified company accounts. Ensure all shipping aspects of the company’s client requirements are adhered to, particular to service specifications. Able to manage small and large projects from the quote stage to billing completion. Manage the whole client experience of the shipping process ensuring client satisfaction and expectations are exceeded. Document the goods inward/outward process for international shipments, including. maintenance of all incoming consolidated sea shipments from start to finish. Maintain files in accordance with company protocols and procedures. Ensure inventories and commercial invoices comply with international requirements and restrictions. Applications for CITES, NOAA, Fish and Wildlife permits. Plan turnaround times, and schedule the process of collection, packing, and shipping. Ensure that all accounts are maintained to the highest level, running the shipment as cost efficiently as able without damaging customer satisfaction. Use all resources available to ensure the highest customer satisfaction. Adhere to local regulations and legislation. Forward planning of all operational requirements to ensure resources are available. Supporting Senior Account Managers with their day-to-day workload including setting up client files, producing bills of lading, and generating invoices Liaising with the Dispatch and Operational departments regarding collections, deliveries, and packing requirements ensuring the client’s expectations are met. Ensuring the department calls are handled in a prompt, and professional manner. Assisting your line manager, General Manager and Director when required. Ensure a high degree of detail and focus on every job. Experience: Bachelor’s degree required. Knowledge of the industry Ability to work well under pressure, cost, and time constraints. Exceptional relationship management skills and the ability to build and grow connections with people of all types and backgrounds. Efficiently coordinate shipments with other departments Excellent problem-solving skills, able to use intuition to resolve any issues and complaints from the client. Highly organized and detail-orientated, with the ability to keep multiple projects and client engagements active at once. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multifaceted work environment. Proficient in Microsoft Office and internal computer systems – Moveware/iLive (training will be provided) Excellent email etiquette and a good telephone manner that is always polite and courteous. Demonstrates good communication skills both written & spoken. Has excellent time management and organizational skills - Able to multi-task as required.
