Executive Director

The Company is seeking an Executive Director to lead its Faculty Association. The successful candidate will be responsible for the daily operations of the Association, including human resources planning, staffing, and the delivery of member services. This role is pivotal in ensuring the Association's activities are effective, efficient, and in line with the organization's mission to protect the rights and academic freedoms of its members. The Executive Director will also be tasked with risk management, providing strategic leadership to the Board and its committees, and maintaining positive relationships with regional and national academic staff associations. Financial management, including overseeing accounts, investments, and audits, is a key aspect of the position, as is the development of salary scales and support for the Executive and Board in strategic planning. The ideal candidate for the Executive Director position at the company will be an innovative strategic leader with a management background. A minimum of 5-8 years' progressive experience in union leadership or a related field is required, along with an undergraduate degree. The role demands a professional who can ensure the Association's financial practices are in line with best standards, and who is adept at producing regular newsletters and information materials. The Executive Director will also be involved in the development and approval of salary scales, and increment recommendations, and will assist with various aspects of faculty career management.
