Head of IT, Canada As a Head of IT Canada, you will be a strategic leader responsible for overseeing all aspects of Information Technology within the DLL operations in Canada. You will play a critical role in shaping and implementing the IT strategy ensuring alignment with regional business objectives and driving technological excellence to support the organization's goals and continuity. You will provide technology consultancy to the rest of business functions and propose technology solutions to cope with business challenges, anticipating business changes and fostering innovation, efficiency and customer satisfaction. You will create a security by design culture within the technology team and uphold regulatory and global policies are fulfilled. You will have a dual reporting relationship which allows for local delivery and global technology guidance. The role directly reports to Canada General Manager and Global CIO as part of the global IT management team. Day to Day Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement the IT strategy for the Canada region in alignment with the global IT strategy and regional business objectives. Collaborate with business and product leadership to integrate IT initiatives into overall business plans. Team Leadership: Lead, coach, and mentor an IT team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, strong technology foundation and continuous improvement. Ensure the development and retention of top IT talent within the region. IT Operations: Oversee the management of the service desk and support services, including acquisition and maintenance of IT office equipment. Ensure the adoption of best practices in IT security, compliance, and risk management. Application Development and Support: Manage the development and enhancement of software applications to meet the specific needs of the Canada business units. Manage the Software as a Service for digital, originations, and contract management, as well as integration (both API and batch). Provide support for existing applications, ensuring high availability and reliability. Ensure systems are built with security by design in mind and platforms running on current versions. Data Management and Analytics: Oversee the development and implementation of robust data management and analytics solutions. Ensure the effective use of data for business intelligence, reporting, and decision-making processes. Implement regionally based on global data management strategy and associated architecture. Digital Products Management: Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of digital products and services via SaaS solution, ensuring alignment with business objectives and customer needs. Collaborate with product development teams to drive the innovation and enhancement of digital offerings. Architecture: Maintain the technology roadmap architecture for the Canada region, ensuring scalability, flexibility, sustainability, and alignment with business strategy. Collaborate with global enterprise architecture team on recommendation of new technologies, methodologies, and frameworks to enhance the overall IT architecture. Manage technology risk within Canada risk appetite. Supplier and Vendor Management: Evaluate and manage relationships with external suppliers and vendors, ensuring the delivery of quality services and solutions. Negotiate contracts and agreements to optimize costs and enhance service levels. Manage the day to day relationship of the supplier, including incidents, performance metrics, and quality delivery enhancements. Innovation and Emerging Technologies: Stay up to date on emerging technologies and industry trends, assessing their potential impact on the business. Collaborate in innovation initiatives and pilot programs to enhance operational efficiency and customer experience. IT Regulatory Compliance and Controls: Ensure compliance with regional and global regulations related to IT, cyber security, and data management. Collaborate with security, legal, privacy and compliance teams to address any regulatory requirements. Budget Management: Develop and manage the IT budget for the Canada region, ensuring cost effectiveness and resource optimization. Provide regular financial reports and forecasts on IT investments to senior management. Essentials Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Proven experience in a senior IT leadership role within the banking or financial services industry. Strong understanding of banking operations, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices. Excellent leadership and people management skills. Ability to drive technology innovation, digital transformation, and crisis management. Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels. Proven ability to work in a matrix and international environment. Good to Know Desired Primary Work Location: Burlington, ON Applicable Pay Range $125,824.32 - $188,736.47 DLL is considering candidates in numerous locations. The pay estimate displayed represents the typical pay range for candidates hired for this position in the desired primary work location. Pay may be adjusted outside the projected range based on geographical differentiation as well as for any other lawful reason. Additional factors that may be used to determine your actual pay include your specific skills, years of relevant experience you possess, and other work-related qualifications. Many candidates may start in the bottom half of the applicable pay range, especially those with less experience or qualification. This position is subject to the terms of DLL’s compensation plans and policies. Further, the position includes all other benefits provided to DLL employees, including healthcare benefits, pension plan, vacation, sick leave, parental leave, possible discretionary bonuses, and all other benefits that are subject to eligibility.
