Logistics Coordinator

The logistics coordinator’s role is focused on meeting our business supply needs and communicating with vendors in a timely manner and other internal departments to monitor and continuously improve product flow and address logistics issues related to on-time deliveries and quality.Reports To: Warehouse ManagerReporting Departments: OperationsDirect Report: N/ADuties and Responsibilities:Negotiate freight ratesPrepare and process courier shipmentsComplete order processing duties including data entry, processing orders, confirmations or revisions, price changes, and inventory controlProcess orders via EDI software / ASN’sMaintain accurate costs and retail and monitor price changes within the systemWork closely with the Logistics group to address inventory and shipping challengesSource carriersAssist with problem resolution on damages, returns, incorrect shipments, and packaging issuesTrack shipmentsIdentify and fix issues in a timely mannerObtain orders/quotes and negotiate rates with customers, carriers, and vendorsSkills and Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent2 years proven work experience in logisticsStrong organizational and communication skillsThe ability to ensure work is completed correctly, thoroughly, and within established timeframes; ability to work with international counterpartsStrong written and verbal skillsCan work independently with minimal supervisionThe ability to manage several projects at once while setting specific goals and timelines for completionProficient computer and data tracking skills; previous knowledge of Customer Management systems is an assetJob Type:Full TimePermanentSchedule:8 hoursDay/Afternoon ShiftMonday to Friday and occasional weekendsPossible OvertimeAdditional Pay and Benefits:Bonus PayOvertime Pay #J-18808-Ljbffr
