About the job
Join Our Team and Make a Lasting Impact! Become the Corporate Partnerships, Sponsorship & Grant Lead at HBSPCA
Are you a dynamic, strategic thinker who thrives on building meaningful connections and driving positive change? The Hamilton/Burlington SPCA (HBSPCA) is seeking a Corporate Partnerships, Sponsorship & Grant Lead to cultivate new relationships, identify impactful sponsorships, and secure essential grant funding to support our mission of helping animals and enhancing community programs.
Your Mission
In this multifaceted role, you will wear many hats – creative storyteller, strategic thinker, and relationship builder – all focused on three key areas:
Corporate Partnerships: Build and nurture strong corporate relationships by listening to partners' needs, identifying opportunities that align with their goals and ours, and creating strategic proposals to form long-term, meaningful partnerships.
Sponsorships: Develop and execute sponsorship strategies that bring visibility and resources to the HBSPCA. You'll work closely with our volunteers to craft compelling sponsorship opportunities for events, campaigns, and programs that engage corporate sponsors and meet their objectives.
Grants: Source, write, and secure grants that align with the HBSPCA’s vision and benefit specific areas within our organization. Your role will involve matching grant opportunities with our organizational needs, developing persuasive applications, and ensuring all requirements are met.
What You’ll Be Doing
Build & Maintain Relationships: Connect with corporate partners, sponsors, and granting bodies to understand their needs and interests, and develop tailored proposals that align with HBSPCA’s mission and programs.
Research & Identify Opportunities: Identify leads, potential partners, and grant opportunities that align with the organization’s goals. Use your keen sense for spotting trends and partnership potential to expand our reach and maximize impact.
Create Engaging Proposals & Applications: Use creative and strategic language to craft proposals, sponsorship packages, and grant applications that showcase our work, build strong cases for support, and resonate with partners' goals.
Work Collaboratively with Volunteers: Engage and lead volunteers who support sponsorship and partnership development, providing guidance and working together to craft and deliver successful proposals.
Strategize & Innovate: Think strategically to match our programs, initiatives, and events with the best partners and funding opportunities. Tailor partnership strategies to meet deadlines and organizational priorities.
Who We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate will be a master communicator, strategic planner, and adept multitasker who can juggle different opportunities while staying deadline-driven and organized. You should be an excellent listener – capable of understanding what corporate partners value and how to align those values with our work – and an innovator, always looking for creative ways to connect, collaborate, and fundraise.
Skills & Experience
Strategic Proposal Writing: Demonstrated ability to craft compelling proposals, grant applications, and sponsorship pitches that are clear, strategic, and creatively designed to resonate with corporate partners.
Relationship-Building & Networking: Strong interpersonal skills to develop, maintain, and grow partnerships with corporate sponsors, grant-makers, and stakeholders.
Project & Deadline Management: Able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines, managing multiple opportunities, proposals, and relationships concurrently.
Innovative & Solution-Oriented: A proactive thinker who can identify opportunities and align them with HBSPCA’s mission, making each partnership and sponsorship truly impactful.
Volunteer Leadership: Comfortable working with and guiding volunteers in the partnership and sponsorship process.
What We Offer
An Impactful Role: Be part of a passionate team committed to enhancing the lives of animals and the community and use your skills to secure vital partnerships and funding.
A Chance to Drive Change: The opportunity to make a tangible impact on the organization’s future, working creatively to build relationships that drive our mission forward.
Collaboration & Growth: Work closely with a dedicated team of staff and volunteers who share a love for animals and a drive to make a difference.
How to Apply
If you’re ready to lead the charge in building partnerships, securing sponsorships, and unlocking grant funding for a cause you can believe in, we’d love to hear from you! Send us your resume, cover letter, and examples of your successful partnership, sponsorship, or grant achievements.
Let's work together to create impactful connections for the HBSPCA and the animals we serve!
