We are continuously expanding to better serve the resort communities of the Rocky Mountains.Position OverviewWe are seeking a VP of Investments who will be accountable for the strategic direction and overall performance of Basecamp’s capital raising and managing the Business Development team, including investor relations, capital allocation, and financial strategy.Salary: $170,000 annuallyLocation: Calgary or CanmoreKey ResponsibilitiesCapital StrategyDevelop and oversee Basecamp’s business development.Manage and monitor the performance of the organization's capital portfolio, adjusting as necessary to meet financial objectives and market conditions.Conduct thorough market analysis and research to identify new opportunities for capital deployment and investor engagement.Lead the development of policies and procedures to ensure best practices in capital management and allocation.Prepare and present detailed reports on capital performance and strategic plans to stakeholders.Team Leadership and DevelopmentLead a team of business development professionals, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance evaluations.Foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional development within the finance and investment teams.Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and industry standards.Foster strong internal relationships across departments.Relationship Building and CommunicationDevelop and maintain strong relationships with key investors, financial institutions, and other stakeholders to secure and enhance capital opportunities.Regularly communicate with investors and stakeholders to provide updates on performance and strategic direction.Organize and participate in investor meetings and conferences to promote the organization's capital strategies and objectives.Cultivate a network of industry contacts to stay informed about market trends, opportunities, and best practices.Engage with community and industry organizations to build the organization's reputation and network.Negotiation and RepresentationNegotiate terms and conditions of major capital development and contracts with investors and financial partners.Represent the organization at industry conferences, meetings, and other public engagements to enhance visibility and attract potential investors.Requirements10+ years of experience in a similar position, with a proven track record in capital raising and financial strategy.Must have a well-established contact list.Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field; a Master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., CFA, CPA) is preferred.Extensive experience in capital strategy development and management.Proven experience in leading and developing high-performing teams.Excellent negotiation skills.Outstanding communication and presentation skills.In-depth knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards.Why Work for Us?Be part of Western Canada’s fastest growing hospitality brand!We have a health benefits plan (vision, dental, drugs, disability, paramedical, etc…)Family and Friends discount at Basecamp.Paid annual vacation.Annual performance bonus.There is room for advancement in our growing company.We have a friendly atmosphere.We believe in working hard and having fun! #J-18808-Ljbffr
