The MDA Space team of more than 3,000 space experts in Canada, the US and the UK has the knowledge and know-how to turn an audacious customer vision into an achievable mission.We’re on the hunt for a Project Lead - Digital Analog PCB Design on our Satellite systems team at our Montreal office.As the leading global independent commercial supplier of antennas, payloads, and electronics for communication and radar satellites, our Satellite Systems team continues to grow and evolve on the ground and in the stars.The Project Lead Digital-Analog PCB Design will be leading a cross-functional team of hardware designers from conception to validation and integration of mixed signal (Digital & RF) electronics Units used in satellites and other space-based systems.ResponsibilitiesLead a Digital/Analog design team for space products.Coordinate a cross-functional team of members of various skills: RF, systems, power, digital, manufacturing, structure, packaging, EMC, and thermal.Responsible for leading a team to deliver on program cost, schedule, and technical requirements.Plan and schedule necessary reviews for the various deliverables.Oversee procurement production tasks to ensure cost and schedule are met.Prioritize the team tasks and goals to meet program milestones.Provide and communicate understanding of the programmatic aspects of a program to the technical team.Lead sub contractual activities and support new business proposal opportunities.Report on staffing levels to program manager.Assess risk and make risk-based decisions throughout program lifecycle to ensure program objectives are met.Ensure Digital/Analog team follows quality and reliability standards.Guide junior members and new employees.Coordinate with technical leads and program managers the conversion of system level requirements into electronic unit level requirements.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering or equivalent.Ten (10) years minimum experience designing processor, high-speed or mixed signal PCBs.Three (3) years in leadership experience.Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and French.Cost and schedule planning experience.Knowledge in Agile methodology.Knowledge and experience with Excel spreadsheets, JIRA, MS Access, or similar tools.Ability to coach and supervise junior members and interns.Understanding of electronic circuits and communication protocols.Knowledge of PCB manufacturing processes.Experience with design architecture and handling of multi-disciplinary specifications and reviews.Knowledge of space radiation effects on parts is an asset.Exposure to RF design, mixed signal, signal processing, high-speed or motor control design.Special ConsiderationsSuccessful candidates must obtain and hold security clearance at the reliability status level, and pass security assessment for the Controlled Goods Program (CGP) and ITAR.Benefits statementMDA provides competitive compensation and benefits packages for its employees at all locations.Equal opportunity statementMDA Ltd. is proud to provide accommodation(s) during the recruitment process. #J-18808-Ljbffr
