If you are someone who loves to collaborate and influence with the ability to pull together the details and see the big picture, we want to hear from you!You’ll be joining a fast-paced and enterprising team whose ambition is to deliver the best outcome for our customers and bring our strategy to life.Come join our team!What you’ll do:As a critical part of the Direct Leadership team you’ll work closely with colleagues across Aviva to set and maintain the Direct business strategy and roadmap, holding yourself and others accountable to deliver on our priorities. You will bring to bear your own expertise across P&C insurance and that of authorities in fields such as Pricing, Underwriting, Digital, Agency, Data Science and Marketing to pull the individual pieces together and ensure each of these areas are aligned to build and execute on our strategy.Specifically in this role you will:Set and maintain the Direct strategy and roadmap in collaboration with team members across PI & Distribution:Work with leaders across Aviva to agree on the Direct strategy and roadmap including the business and technical deliverables that will be important for our success.Ensure the Direct strategy is delivering on Aviva’s strategic ambitions across customer, growth, sustainability and efficiency.Develop appropriate measures to supervise progress against our strategy and to drive a performance culture.Communicate our strategy and our progress against it to key partners across Aviva.Run the performance of the Direct business, aligned to the agreed strategy:Work with finance and Personal Insurance to set quarterly business plans.Lead and monitor top and bottom-line performance to ensure we are delivering on our business plans. Engage with relevant collaborators to adjust and course correct as needed.Ensure pricing & underwriting changes are aligned to support the delivery of the Direct strategy and plans.Bring together team members to make day-to-day business decisions, prioritize the backlog and remove blockers to ensure successful execution of initiatives.Communicate and collaborate with key partners such as marketing and operations to ensure our partners are equipped to complete our plans.Maintain relationships with colleagues across our business channels to share knowledge and ensure alignments are realized where applicable.Ensure risks are appropriately handled for the Direct business:Consider risk and reward when making business decisions and ensure appropriate controls are in place and risks are managed when developing and completing agreed plans.What you’ll bring:You have extensive knowledge of P&C insurance across areas such as distribution, marketing, pricing, underwriting and finance. You are curious and committed with the ability to challenge the status quo and promote innovative ideas. You are an excellent collaborator, that can influence and partner with broad collaborator groups. You are customer focused with the ability to see the big picture as well as dig into technical details.Specifically, you will have:7+ years P&C insurance experienceUniversity degree and relevant professional designation (eg. MBA, CIP, FCIP etc.) or related equivalent work experienceExperience leading pricing or underwriting teams in P&C insuranceSolid knowledge of insurance products, Marketing, and the P&C regulatory environmentExcellent business insight with a strong understanding of insurance metrics and financialsDemonstrated leadership skills with the ability to influence and manage across teamsStrong communication skills and can effectively communicate with stakeholders at all levels of the organizationThe ability to build and execute on a strategic visionWhat you’ll get:The salary band for this position ranges from $113,500 to $210,900.
