Director, Software Development - ApplicationsYour role as a Director of Software DevelopmentReporting to Vincent Deschênes, Vice-President of Engineering - Applications, you’ll be working on Dialogue’s Integrated Health Platform, and more specifically leading the group responsible for the applications used by millions of Dialogue members.Directors of software development at Dialogue put their engineering expertise and management experience towards the success of their teams in delivering solid software products, solutions, and technology. You will inspire, support, and promote the growth of your team members. Your skill at managing stakeholders, including external clients, managing projects, costing, and budgeting will be put to good use. You and your group will join the Client Experience groups in designing and building technically innovative solutions that empower our Integrated Health Platform.People who depend on Dialogue for a highly scalable, performant, and reliable platform benefit directly from the work you will do. You’ll be a primary driver in building a culture with strong engineering values and goals.What you’ll be doing:Being the primary people manager for the members of your teams, responsible for performance management and career developmentWorking closely with the Product stream lead in managing stakeholders (including external clients), scoping, and deliveryManaging two scrum teams, with the support of each team’s tech leadEnsuring the timely delivery of high-quality software, aligned with the company and functional goalsProviding architecture oversight and guidance to your teams, and ensuring long-term platform viabilityCollaborating closely with other directors and VP's on personnel allocation and project managementWe'd love to hear from you if you have:10+ years of relevant work experience, including at least 5+ years of management experienceA proven track record of performance in a similar roleProfessional experience in growth-driven industries such as startups and scaleupsB.S., M.S., or Ph.D. in Computer Science or a related technical field a nice to haveAt Dialogue, your well-being is our priorityTaking care of others also means taking care of our team.
