Our Community Support Services (CSS) team provides essential services that enable our clients to thrive. Whether their disability is physical, the result of brain injury, or aging, our more than 2,000 team members assist clients in their homes and across communities, to live as independently as possible. The opportunity: We are currently looking to fill a full-time position (30 hours/week) for a Rehabilitation Worker in Brain Injury in Victoria BC. Job Type: Full-Time Monday – Friday (30 hours minimum per week) Responsibilities: Implement individualized support services plans within the home and/or community for adults with acquired brain injury (ABI) Assist individuals with acquired brain injury in instrumental activities of daily living, cognitive and problem-solving skills, community orientation and integration Provide services on a scheduled basis during weekday business hours Reporting responsibilities including daily log note recording, incident reports, and verbal reports as required Participate in training as required Follow policies and procedures as required Qualifications and experience: Post-Secondary preferred in Human and Social Services Current CPR, First Aid is an asset Access to vehicle to use for business and valid driver’s license Proven consistency in work performance, including reliability and flexibility Excellent interpersonal communication and organizational skills Sound behavioural management skills, cognitive problem-solving skills Proven teamwork abilities Working knowledge of acquired brain injury and rehabilitation Ability to effectively provide support with behavioural situations Ability to speak, read, and write English Starting salary: $22.33 and up/per hour How to apply Please submit your resume by October 18, 2024. #J-18808-Ljbffr
