Work on high-impact engaging projects that support the health of the communities we work, live and play in.Our Infrastructure Advisory team is looking for an experienced professional to join us in the Toronto office as soon as possible.What You Get to DoLead BTY team and clients to take projects through financial close/final investment decision.Lead technical due diligence delivery for Lenders, Investors, and buy/sell side parties on greenfield and brownfield renewable energy assets.Advise clients on all aspects of successful delivery and operations of renewable energy and sustainability.Project ManagementManage renewable energy projects (primarily wind farms, solar farms and battery energy storage systems) on behalf of clients.Act as Owner’s Engineer/Project Manager.Manage project budgets and schedules, including the use of MS Project or similar industry-standard software.Prepare project cost estimates and assess, review and report on project spend throughout the project.Maintain project risk registers, action trackers, change logs, etc.Prepare Employer’s Requirements and other technical documents for inclusion in construction contracts, including:Turbine Supply Agreement (TSA)Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) contractCivil and Electrical Balance of Plant (BoP) contractsAdminister construction contracts, typically acting as FIDIC Engineer or Employer’s Representative, including:Reviewing contractors’ payment applications;Preparing contractual letters and notices;Assessing and determining claims;Instructing variations; andReviewing applications for Take Over. Support in holding construction meetings both on-site and remotely.This role involves regular business development and client care initiatives.What You'll BringMinimum of 7-10 years of relevant experience (e.g., independent engineer, solar developer, project finance); Experience in the Independent Engineering field is a plus.Strong knowledge of equipment fundamentals including modules, inverters, racking, transformers, control systems/SCADA, and metering.Experience with energy storage paired with solar projects.University Degree or equivalent in a science-based field such as engineering, materials science, atmospheric science, or equivalent with an advanced degree in related technical field or MBA.Working towards professional accreditation: PQS, PMP, MRICS, P.
