The Opportunity McElhanney has an exciting opportunity for a Project Manager to support Indigenous Communities with their projects within the Fraser Valley area and throughout BC. In this role, you will act as the primary contact for the delivery of infrastructure projects for our Indigenous Clients, helping to build sustainable and resilient infrastructure within the local communities. You have dynamic people and leadership skills, and a passion for developing business opportunities and project delivery. What You'll Be Doing Lead detailed designs and product of engineering drawings and specifications, meeting all client and approval agency requirements. Coordinate and assist in the preparation of documents required for approvals, calculations, prepare development and construction cost estimates, tender documents and contracts. Act as a key client manager for one or more clients. Chair regular project meetings with clients and internal staff. Develop new business and establish strategic relationships with key clients, agencies and partners. Coordinate with other team members and monitor project progress to ensure schedules, budgets and quality control standards are achieved. Provide leadership in safety and quality management practices. Create and review technical reports. Prepare and submit superior proposals, funding submissions and grant applications. Generate invoices for clients and track against agreed client budgets. Manage multidisciplinary teams, providing mentorship and guidance to junior engineers and technical staff. What You’ll Bring A degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university with strong technical skills and 5+ years of related technical experience. Registration in good standing as a P.Eng in BC ability to obtain registration through existing inter-jurisdictional agreements. General understanding of working with Indigenous Communities and federal regulations that apply for infrastructure construction. Proven ability to attract and retain clients, win projects and consistently provide high quality deliverables on time and on budget. An aptitude for leadership, continuous learning, knowledge sharing and relationship building. Bonus points if you have experience in preparation of funding submissions and delivery of capital projects for Indigenous Communities. What Can We Offer You? The salary range for this position is $90,000 - $115,000 per annum. McElhanney offers fair compensation that is commensurate with the individual’s education, experience, skills, and professional qualifications. The posted base salary/wage range is representative of the required level of qualifications and experience for the position as noted in the job posting.
