Business Analyst (Quebec city)

Brief description of the position : In order to meet the needs of its clients in the IT sector, FOP CONSULTANTS is looking for IT business analyst consultants motivated to carry out mandates. The main missions would be to collaborate with management and other stakeholders in analyzing IT needs, proposing solutions, managing implementation projects and participating in various continuous improvement projects for IT processes and systems. Main responsibilities: Without limitation, the main tasks involve: Analyze and assess needs, understand clients’ business objectives, processes and strategies, identify problems and establish appropriate recommendations; Collaborate with customers and other stakeholders in the analysis, definition and modeling of IT requirements, and ensure that these requirements are documented appropriately; Perform risk analyzes of pre-projects and when notices of changes; Collaborate in the drafting of functional analysis and business analysis documents, while identifying the best industry practices in the business field; Develop solutions, analyze their impacts and issue appropriate recommendations taking into account business strategies, needs, delivery times and costs; Act as a liaison between customers, technical teams and those responsible for testing to ensure that detailed IT operational requirements are clearly understood; Manage projects based on defined templates (deliverables, progress reports, etc.); Collaborate with customers in the execution of tests, supervise the migration and post-implementation phases in collaboration with the project teams; Participate in user training on new features and new systems; Perform a technological watch on IT solutions to contribute to the continuous improvement of client systems and processes. Qualifications: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Administration (Information Technology), OR in a relevant discipline recognized by MIFI or its equivalent; Have a minimum of five (5) years of experience in the IT field in development OR maintenance OR evolution of systems, with at least three (3) years as a business analyst; In the past three (3) years, have completed, as a business analyst, at least one (1) project, with a scope of at least 220 person-days, in a development OR maintenance OR system evolution context. Excellent knowledge of the MS Office suite; Good communication and writing skills in French and English; Mobility (an asset).
