Southwire Job Description
Job Summary/Objective: The Canada commercial leader will be responsible for the profitable growth of Southwire’s Canadian wire & cable and EP&ES business. This leadership role will have responsibility for the development and execution of the commercial business plan as approved by the executive leadership team. Responsibilities will include meeting or exceeding the volume and profit goals established for the year along with responsibilities associated with the general management and administration of the Canadian headquarter’ s office while leading Southwire’s Canadian outside sales, inside sales, pricing, product management, supply chain, people & culture, and marketing team. The Vice President will be supported by Southwire’s Canadian customer service centers located in Mississauga and Calgary along with support provided by Southwire Company corporate functions including legal and accounting. The Vice President will also provide support to the Canadian services business, as needed. This position will effectively serve and be recognized as the President of Southwire Canada.
Key Responsibilities While owning the P&L of Southwire’s Canadian wire & cable and EP&ES business the role is responsible for the following:
Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and drive business growth.
Identify and pursue new business opportunities, with both distributors, retailers, and customers, including expansion into new markets and customer segments.
Optimize and lead annual sales and operation planning process; including forecasting, budgeting and resource allocation.
Build and maintain strategic relationships with new and existing distributors and retailers to expand product offerings and solutions, while ensuring favorable terms, pricing and contracts.
Partner with marketing to develop integrated marketing and sales strategies to drive brand awareness in support of growth and customer engagement.
Develop trade management and pricing strategies to maximize ROI on promotional activities, marketing initiatives and customer care/rewards programs.
Translate vision into actionable plans and initiatives while fostering a positive work culture through inclusive and equitable leadership, ensuring an environment where team members are inspired and cultivated for growth.
Partner with People and Culture to improve organization’s efficiency and increase engagement at an employee and customer level.
Minimum Education Level - Bachelors, master preferred
Specialized degree - Business, engineering or related field
