This position ensures that Company financial policies and procedures are followed and internal controls are in place. This position makes proactive recommendations for performance and profitability improvements and ensures that proper controls are adhered to while operating to protect the company’s assets.DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIESPartner with Plant Management:Active participation in Plant team meetingsInvolvement in and support of Plant Review meetingsIdentify and manage process improvement initiativesIdentify issues and proactively initiate analysis to reduce waste (labor, material usage, spending, etc.)Ad hoc analysis and reporting for plant and operations managementCost reduction monitoring, reporting, and results auditing (where applicable)Support WCM and Cost Deployment (plant cost saving project development)Month-end closing:Inventory verification and controlWorking with the central Shared Service Accounting (SSC), prepare journal entriesAnalysis of financial resultsAccount reconciliationsMonth-end analysis and reporting:Prepare month end reportsPrepare manufacturing variance analysisPlant Manager Financial ReviewSupport needs of Group and Country Controllers, Plant Manager, and Operations Management:Prepare ad hoc analyses and reporting upon requestPrepare and analyze board costing and cost savings reportingAssist in planning and analysis of other forecastsCoordinate and assist in the preparation of the annual operating budget:Analytically review and challenge the budget and all assumptionsPrepare plant presentation and standard budget templates.Ensure proper internal controls and compliance with Company policies and procedures:Coordinate and support annual plant gap review; adapt to Internal (ICRF) control manualSupport internal audit activities, coordinating plant responses and follow-up.Other duties such as:Periodic forecastsPrepare and maintain product standard costing and year end revision and rollup.Oversee and reconcile inventory cycle counts and annual physical inventorySupport capital expenditure appropriation request development and payback analysisCoordinate and support annual fixed asset desk review, triennial fixed asset auditRequired QualificationsBachelor degree in Accounting or Finance, CPA, CMA or equivalent, complementary work experienceMinimum 8 years of progressive cost accounting and analysis experience with a major manufacturing organization.
