We strive to standardize and simplify how we build, package, deploy and monitor software across ResMed.Let’s talk about the roleYou have a security first mentality within the context of software development with a deep empathy for the challenges of modern software development.Assisting in the identification and remediation of vulnerabilities within our platform services.Contributing to the development and maintenance of our security frameworks and tools, ensuring they can be effectively utilized by all development teams.Engaging in continuous learning to stay informed about new security threats and technologies.Supporting the implementation of cutting-edge security solutions and practices within the platform team.Participating in the technical leadership of security, under the guidance of senior team members, to learn and eventually guide the organization in secure development practices.Helping to foster a culture of security awareness and excellence across the organization.Collaborating with development teams to share knowledge and tools for secure coding practices.Assisting in the implementation and enhancement of monitoring and automation for incident detection and response.Contributing to ensuring compliance with relevant security frameworks and regulations.Participating in informal security training sessions to promote a security-aware culture within the organization.Let’s talk about youKnowledge of source control, branching & release strategies, pull requests and automated quality gates using tools such as GitHub or Bitbucket.Experience in public cloud (AWS) in building services using cloud native technologies including Kubernetes, Docker, serverless, etc. would be a plus.A recent graduate or up to 2 years of experience in a related field.Basic understanding of cloud-native technologies, containerized workloads, and an interest in cloud security.Familiarity with at least one programming language (Java, Go, Python, TypeScript) and a willingness to learn secure coding practices.An eagerness to learn CI/CD automation, including deploying applications and infrastructure.A foundational understanding of SIEM and SOAR tools is a plus.Interest in cryptography and securing information against current threats.Curiosity about API design and securing APIs.Basic knowledge of network security practices.Awareness of security standards and frameworks such as OWASP ASVS, CVEs, SOC2, and HIPAA.Willingness to engage in informal security training.A Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field is preferred.We are shaping the future at ResMed, and we recognize the need to build on and broaden our existing skills and continue to attract and retain the world’s best talent.
