Salary: At Wawanesa, salary is only one component of a holistic, comprehensive and competitive offering that we provide to our employees. Job Overview Under general supervision, the Group Implementation Specialist is responsible for supporting small to mid-size new business implementations received by the Onboarding team acting as the liaison between the Head Office and contributing parties ensuring accuracy and completeness of required documents and information.
Job Responsibilities Manage the end-to-end process by assessing the assigned new Group Implementations for the small to mid-size clients as well as Third Party Administrator Group Implementation that have standard package set up, ensuring internal teams have the right information to complete their tasks and manage deadlines for the overall implementation.
Act as the first point of contact for Group Implementations sent in from Sales teams, ensuring accuracy and completeness of onboarding packages.
Audit completed implementations including system set-up and initial client billings.
Proactively manage changes, risks, and issues that may arise during the implementation process.
Help manage internal and external relationships to ensure project delivery expectations are specified and met.
Communicate Group Implementations updates regularly and effectively to ensure all internal and external stakeholders are kept up to date (meetings, status updates, etc.).
Lead plan Administrator onboarding sessions, detailing how Plan Administrators can use Wawanesa systems to manage their programs.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications Completion of post-secondary education in a related field or a combination of education and experience is required would be considered an asset.
Complete or actively pursuing BGA or CEBS designation considered an asset.
Minimum of 5 years of Group Insurance experience, including implementation and communicating directly with both internal and external business partners.
Strong attention to detail with ability to develop quality standards, identify relevant information and potential impacts.
Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to communicate at the right level for the intended audience, including internal and external clients through written and verbal communication.
Ability to adapt quickly to changing environments, needs and customer priorities.
Experience delivering new Group Implementations small to mid-size clients while collaborating with multiple teams.
Excellence time management and organizational skills with the ability to establish priorities among competing deadlines while maintaining service standards.
Excellent problem solving and decision-making skills.
Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships across the organization at all levels.
Client centric focus with the ability to see long term outcomes and impacts.
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word and Excel.
Bilingualism in French and English is an asset for this role.
