Aon Is Looking For A Senior Broker, MiningAs part of an industry-leading team, you will help empower results for our clients by delivering innovative and effective solutions as part of our Mining Broking Group within Aon.Applicants must be legally authorized to work in Canada. This role is not eligible for sponsorship, and we are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa or work permit.What the day will look likeParticipates in client and prospect meetingsCollaborates with clients to develop coverage strategy and marketing initiatives for renewal and prospective businessCollaborates with sales producers to support growth strategies and specific prospecting activitiesCollaborates to build national initiatives around Casualty lines of coverageProvides guidance, training and mentoring to assist in the development of less experienced Brokers within the national groupBuilds productive working relationships with peers and higher-level professionals internally and externally to exchange information and make recommendationsAnalyzes client specific risk exposure and details coverage requirementsPrepares and presents marketing proposals for renewals and new businessNegotiates with underwriters to establish the best terms and conditions with respect to premiums and coverageFollows up with insurer to confirm terms of negotiated contract are metApproves documentation for new contracts, policy changes, additions, deletions and renewalsEstablishes contacts and cultivates relationships within the underwriting community in an effort to achieve the best premiums and coverage for Aon clientsPerforms other related duties as requiredSkills and experience that will lead to success5+ years of insurance background and knowledge is requiredExpertise in Casualty is an assetExpertise in the Natural Resources / Energy / Mining sector is an assetBroker licensed is an assetStrong skills in both written and verbal communications to be able to make an impact and influence with the client and the insurance companyHow we support our colleaguesIn addition to our comprehensive benefits package, we encourage a diverse workforce.
