Associate, Institutional Equity Research (Industrials Sector) Locations: Toronto, ON Time Type: Full time Posted on: Posted 3 Days Ago Time left to apply: End Date: November 14, 2024 (24 days left to apply) What You’ll Be Doing The Capital Markets arm of CIBC provides Corporate, Government, and Institutional clients with innovative solutions to help them raise capital, and grow and invest actively throughout North America and key financial centres around the world. The Equities team at CIBC Capital Markets understands what institutional investors value most: original ideas, top service, and performance. How You’ll Succeed Research: You will work closely with the Research Analyst covering the Industrials sector, which involves industry and company analysis. You will build financial models and forecasts as well as harness a variety of data sets to support investment recommendations and valuation analysis. Client Focus: In cooperation with the Research Analysts, you will participate in regular calls with public companies to get direct data from senior management teams, as well as ad hoc calls, meetings, and industry events. Who You Are You have an Undergraduate degree in Finance or business-related discipline. Please include a writing sample along with your cover letter, resume, and transcripts (if a recent graduate). You can demonstrate applicable industry experience. Experience conducting financial analysis of companies and economics. Previous capital markets experience is highly preferred. You are technically savvy. Excellent knowledge of PC applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, OneNote). Experience in Python is an asset. You're motivated by collective success. Ability to explain detailed financial and statistical analysis. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. You know that details matter. Excellent analytical and quantitative skills.
