Company: Mel's Flowers Address: 55 Tierney St N, Arnprior, ON K7S 2R8 Position Title: Back of House Helper Terms of Employment: Full-time, 2-year contract Position Location: Arnprior, Ontario Compensation/ hours per week: $34,500 - $36,500 (depending on experience); 40 hours/week, Monday to Friday 9-5 pm; Saturday 9-1 pm Introduction Mel's Flowers is a vibrant and growing flower shop dedicated to providing beautiful floral arrangements and excellent service to our community. We are seeking a reliable and hardworking individual to join our team as a Back of House Helper. Job Requirements Languages English (desirable) Portuguese (desirable)Education Secondary EducationExperience• Minimum of three years in cleaning/ maintenanceDuties• Cleaning and maintaining the store, including emptying garbage and recycling • Storing and processing products, including replenishing supplies, preparing and refrigerating flowers • Assisting with inventory management and organization • Cleaning and preparing buckets to ensure the freshness of flowers • Unpacking and organizing incoming shipments, as well as breaking down boxes for recycling • Performing basic maintenance tasks to ensure a safe and clean working environment • Assisting with flower processing and preparation • Helping to organize and maintain storage areas • Preparing flowers and supplies for events and deliveries • Performing other duties as assigned • Ability to put in more hours during seasonal holidays as requiredSkills• Attention to detail • Ability to work independently and as part of a team • Strong organizational skills • Physical stamina to handle manual tasks • Basic knowledge of perishable’s care and handling • Excellent time management skills • Ability to follow instructions and work efficiently Join Mel's Flowers and be a part of a team that values dedication and excellence in every aspect of our business.
