The firm prides itself on a collegial work atmosphere and supportive team environment.We hire self-motivated, team-minded individuals with a strong work ethic, integrity and a commitment to client service.WHAT WE OFFERMentorship in a friendly and welcoming environment;Work in an interesting, rewarding, and ever-changing area of the law;An inclusive culture that values diverse perspectives and equitable opportunities;Competitive compensation and benefits package;Working with highly skilled support staff;Flexible work arrangements.Our Charlottetown office is looking to add to our exceptional team and is seeking a Family Law Associate Lawyer to join our practice.SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIESService clients in a wide range of family law related matters, including cohabitation agreements and marriage contracts, and all matters arising from breakdown of marriages and common law relationships, such as parenting, child support, spousal support, division of matrimonial assets and claims to business assets.Day-to-day advice on a variety of family law matters.Developing appropriate family law strategies and preparing written and oral arguments.SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONSThree + years of relevant work experience;Courtroom experience and practical solution building skills;Demonstrated excellent advocacy, negotiation, and communication skills;Strong research and writing skills and demonstrated ability to navigate complex issues;Proven effective client and practice management skills;Self-motivated and can work independently but also values working collaboratively;Brings a compassionate approach to the practice of family law.Cox & Palmer provides a competitive compensation and benefits package including:Salary range $82,500 –$105,000 plus performance bonus which is determined on year of call and experience;Firm paid health benefits, dental, and life insurance plans;CLE allowance;Firm promotion allowance;Employee and Family Assistance Program;An annual Health and Fitness Allowance.APPLYThis position will remain posted until successfully filled.
