We are the market leader in developing Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems for the agricultural sector, operating under the names ABS Seed, ABS Breeding, ABS Production, ABS Trial, and ABS Fresh.
Development, support and consultancy are done and coordinated from our headquarters in Grootebroek (The Netherlands). Further ABS has an office in India (Hyderabad) and is planning to open an office in Canada (Guelph).
To advise on our ABS solutions in use in existing ABS customers and expand our business in the United States and Canada we are looking for a: Business Consultant located in Guelph, Ontario, Canada.
Main focus of the position
To assist our ABS customers in using ABS software by on-site consultancy. Also advise the management of our ABS customers and prospects in the seed and agricultural industry on their business, growth and improvement using ABS software solutions.
Main tasks
Be a team with our Canadian support consultant
Manage the relation with the customer and potential customers and gain confidence in Agro Business Solutions as a company as well as products and services in general
Fulfill requests related to the use of ABS in the customer’s organization
Recognize the opportunities for new sales with existing and potential customers
Show demos of the ABS software to (potential) customers, based on their business processes
Assist in the implementation of ABS software in new customer’s sites in collaboration with the headquarters in Grootebroek (the Netherlands)
Report back on important experiences from the practical use of the solution by the customer and see that these conclusions become known at the appropriate place in the organization where we can improve our organization, solution and/or quality
Support the follow-up of RFC’s, calls, requests and tasks requested by the customer
Test the new functionalities of the software which are relevant for the customer
Required qualifications
Is able and willing to travel 2 weeks a month within the US and Canada and sometimes to the HQ in Grootebroek
Education on Bachelor’s level
Being able to communicate on C-Level with customers and potential customers
Experience in business consultancy
Skilled in MS Office
Eager to learn ABS applications
Fluent in English and Spanish (written and verbal). Knowledge of Dutch or French is an advantage
Has strong written and oral communication skills
Team player with a positive attitude
Highly self-motivated individual, with a high level of time management and organizational skills. Well-organized, committed, accurate and thorough, with attention to detail
