Recreation Director

Job Summary A Recreation Director oversees the recreational programs put on in house and by public and private entertainers, sports facilities, community centers or other institutions. They plan, organize and direct the operations of all activities in the Home. Responsibilities Plan and develop monthly recreation calendar Implement and run group daily activities with residents Manage recreation budget Schedule venues for events, organize and track equipment Communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff members Skills Experience in a similar role required Experience in senior care and dementia care Strong leadership and organizational abilities Knowledge of nursing home or assisted living facility operations Excellent communication skills to interact with residents, families, and staff members First Aid & CPR is an asset Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contractContract length: 12 months Pay: $19.00-$21.00 per hour Expected hours: 37.5 per week Benefits: Dental care Discounted or free food Extended health care On-site parking Vision care Schedule: 8 hour shift Holidays Monday to Friday Weekends as needed Experience: Recreation Aide: 2 years (required) Work Location: In person Expected start date: 2024-11-01 #J-18808-Ljbffr
