This role requires a keen eye for detail and the ability to develop a solid understanding of systems, data flows, and reporting.Prepare consolidated results, including compliance reports on a monthly and quarterly basisHandle accounting for newly acquired or created entitiesHandle complex accounting issuesParticipate in the annual external audit process and in the preparation of external financial statementsVerify consolidated results for compliance with credit facility financial covenants and basketsVerify results of divisions and entities in group for accuracy and completenessParticipate in the deployment of new systems or the improvement of existing systems and processesParticipate in the development of an accounting operations manualDocument, review and improve the effectiveness of reporting processes and proceduresPrepare monthly, quarterly and annual statistical information for governmental organizationsHandle various ad hoc tasks, including requests from various departments within the company.QualificationsBachelor's degree in accounting or relevant fieldProfessional CPA designation, an asset3+ years' relevant experience in financial consolidation and reportingKnowledge of MS Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word)Knowledge of Microsoft D365 and/or other consolidation software, an assetExcellent analytical skillsAdditional InformationAmerican Iron & Metal and its subsidiaries is an equal opportunity employer.
