Results Canada has local groups of volunteers across the country.Volunteer Opportunity DetailsVolunteer Opportunity ID: 3389Description of Duties: We are an advocacy organization that believes in mobilizing everyday people to use their voices to generate the political will to end extreme poverty. We combine the voices of our volunteers with strategic areas of focus to leverage resources for programs and improved policies that give people living in poverty the health, education, and opportunity they need to thrive. Whether it's writing letters to the editor (LTEs), using social media, or engaging with parliamentarians, our passionate volunteers positively impact people living in low- and middle-income countries.Skills Required: If you're ready to learn about advocacy and committed to taking action every month, join us!Skills Gained/Related Careers:Age: 12 and under, 13-15, 16-17, 18-30, 31-54, 55+Time Commitment: Approximately 2 hours a week, at times will be demanding, at other times less so.
