Job Requirements / Description
Project Oversight: Lead and manage multiple construction projects across Ontario, ensuring compliance with local timelines, budgets, and standards. Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor project managers and site supervisors, fostering a collaborative and safety-focused work environment. Budget Management: Develop, monitor, and manage project budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness and adherence to Ontario's regulations. Quality Assurance: Implement quality control measures that comply with the Ontario Building Code and other relevant safety regulations. Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary liaison between clients, subcontractors, and local authorities, ensuring effective communication and project alignment. Strategic Planning: Develop long-term construction strategies that align with company goals and Ontario's market trends and needs. Risk Management: Identify potential risks specific to Ontario's climate and regulations, creating mitigation strategies to minimize disruptions. Compliance: Ensure all construction activities meet local municipal bylaws, health and safety standards, and environmental regulations in Ontario. Resource Allocation: Oversee procurement of materials, equipment, and labor, prioritizing partnerships with Ontario-based suppliers when possible. Required Qualifications: Extensive Experience: At least 10 years in the construction industry, with significant experience in project management and leadership roles, particularly in Ontario. Strong Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead, mentor, and motivate diverse teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture. Technical Expertise: Deep knowledge of construction processes, building codes (including the Ontario Building Code), safety regulations, and best practices. Project Management Proficiency: Expertise in managing multiple projects simultaneously, demonstrating exceptional planning, organization, and resource allocation skills. Financial Acumen: Strong understanding of budgeting, financial forecasting, and cost control, with a track record of delivering projects within budget. Effective Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, enabling clear interactions with clients, subcontractors, and stakeholders. Problem-Solving Ability: Strong analytical skills and the ability to anticipate challenges, develop solutions, and adapt to changing circumstances. Strategic Thinking: Ability to align construction strategies with company goals and local market trends, ensuring long-term success. Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with municipal regulations and compliance requirements in Ontario, including environmental considerations.
