Officer, Digital Communications – OAKVILLE HOSPITAL FOUNDATIONOakville Hospital Foundation (OHF) is currently seeking an experienced, creative, and strategic individual to join its marketing and communications team. Reporting to the Associate Director, Marketing, the Communications Officer will develop clear and compelling content consistent with the Foundation brand to inspire philanthropy and drive engagement across digital and traditional channels and platforms. Our vision is that by sparking the passion to give, we will transform the healthcare experience.This is what you’ll be doing:Oversee, manage and develop content for OHF’s social media platforms and website.Design and develop event websites and microsites using WordPress and other platforms.Manage the online peer-to-peer fundraising platform.Write and oversee the creation of content, including written, visual, and multimedia materials.Craft compelling stories about the impact of donor contributions and the hospital’s needs to inspire action/giving.Collaborate across foundation departments to amplify fundraising campaigns, ideas, and initiatives through communication and marketing tactics.Evaluate the effectiveness of marketing activities, providing insights and performance reports to the team, board, and stakeholders to inform future strategies.Qualifications2-4 years experience, ideally in a non-profit environment.Strong knowledge of social media trends, analytics, and current/emerging technology.Demonstrated experience creating content for, and managing, corporate social media channels.A self-starter with the ability to work independently and collaboratively with a team.Excellent communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex ideas for a broad audience.An eye for compelling visuals and knowledge of and experience with design software (Adobe Creative Suite, Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Canva).Experience editing video with Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premiere Pro, or comparable software considered a plus.Completion of a post-secondary degree program in Marketing or Communications or a related discipline (a mix of education and experience in a related field will be considered as well).Additional InformationThis is a full time, 18 month contract.FTE: 1.0 FTEUnion Status: NON UNIONShift Schedule (Hours are subject to change based on operational needs): Mon-Fri – 7.5 hour day shifts.Why work for us?An open, motivating, collaborative, and family-friendly workplace culture that actively invests in its talent.Competitive compensation, three weeks of vacation to start, and the opportunity for performance-based increases.Benefits and perks that include cellphone and laptop, and onsite gym access.The Oakville Hospital Foundation offers flexible and hybrid working arrangements.
