Role: The Dispatcher is the mastermind behind scheduling, route planning for our delivery drivers and getting the paperwork ready to keep things rolling smoothly and legally down the highway and our northern roads.WHAT’S IN IT FOR YOU?In addition to year-round full-time employment, we also provide:Starting rate of $30.00/hour.Work shift of 10 hours/ day, 4 days/ week after the probationary periodSavings: Discounted prices on industrial supplies.Group Health & Dental Benefits: 100% company paid.5 additional paid days off per year: 2 sick days, 2 personal days and you don’t work on your birthday!Paid personal protective equipment program.RRSP contribution match program.PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIESDispatch and Operations Support: Take customer orders over the phone and in-person for product delivery. Manage the accurate preparation and dispatch of incoming customer orders/ tickets/ transfers: fuel, lubes, oil, DFOA, industrial supplies, and all other future products to be sold. Make outbound calls to customers concerning the status of their deliveries. Prepare orders according to TDG (Transport of Dangerous Goods) regulations.?Consider equipment, driver availability, and customer priority, to create a weekly delivery schedule.Fleet Maintenance: Assist in scheduling the fleets preventative, corrective, and scheduled, maintenance through partnered garages. Assist in efficiently managing unplanned breakdowns.Administrative Tasks: Reviewing TDG documents, Bills of Lading, and daily dip reports and efficiently entering the figures from?the daily dip reports into the assigned spreadsheet.?Reviewing trips daily to ensure prompt and precise billing.IDEAL CANDIDATELocation: Must live in Hearst, ON, or other nearby areas.Typical schedule: On-site position. 40 hours per week. Work schedule may require team member to take early morning, evening, or late-night shifts, on-call during weekends or for emergencies. Weekend or holiday work also may be necessary.Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required.Physical Requirements: Must have the physical capabilities and strength to lift and/ or move items up to 20 lbs occasionally.Experience: Minimum of 2 years’ work experience in a similar role.Technology: User experience with an Enterprise Resources Planning (ERP) platform; Microsoft Dynamics NAV and proficient in using Microsoft 365 applications. Sound knowledge in utilization of route optimization software and GPS systems.Skills: Professional communicator, both verbal and written in French and English. Great interpersonal and customer service skills. Autonomous in taking non-routine decisions. Exceptional organizational and administrative skills. Able to work in a team environment.
