Work Hours: 40 hours a week, Mon-Fri (100% on-site / no remote)Duration: 1 YearHourly Rate: $55 - 65/hourJob Title: Project ManagerRole & Responsibilities:Oversee and manage significant infrastructure projects, often handling multiple projects simultaneously, with budgets ranging from $1M to $50M.Utilize extensive knowledge of business and management principles to lead all aspects of project planning, budgeting, and resource allocation.Collaborate with internal stakeholders to define project scope, deliverables, and timelines.Review and approve work breakdown structures, cost estimates, baseline schedules, and any project changes requested by internal clients or the organization.Authorize project-related expenditures and procurement requisitions, such as purchase orders, invoices, and expense claims, within established authority limits.Lead a large project team (typically 12+ members) by setting performance objectives, providing formal and informal feedback, and mentoring team members to ensure project success.Motivate the project team to deliver quality results on time and within budget while fostering a culture of continuous improvement through coaching and mentoring.Define roles and responsibilities within the team, manage performance evaluations, and address disciplinary actions when necessary.Establish and control project scope, manage risks, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.Approve scopes of work, prioritize project tasks, and assign responsibilities.Manage and oversee project budgets and schedules, and authorize any changes.Report on project performance to clients, senior management, and other stakeholders.Participate in management meetings focused on project performance, priorities, and staffing decisions.Qualifications & Requirements:Experience managing teams on transportation related infrastructure projects preferred.A diploma or degree from an accredited institution in project management, engineering, applied/building sciences, business, commerce, or a related field.A proven track record of leading large projects to successful completion.At least 10 years of progressively responsible project management experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience in a senior or lead project role.Certifications such as P.Eng., CET, PMP, or AACE are considered assets.Experience managing projects within the Infrastructure, Industrial, Commercial, or Institutional sectors is preferred.Demonstrated expertise in all phases of the project lifecycle, including Project Definition, Concept Development, Detailed Design, Construction, and Commissioning.Proficient in applying processes for initiation, planning, execution, control, and project closure within each project phase.Strong understanding of strategic planning, human resources, and people management processes.General management skills, including planning, budgeting, resourcing, time management, negotiation, contract management, and progress reporting for executive audiences.Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to engage with all levels of an organization, government officials, regulatory officers, customers, partners, suppliers, industry peers, and the public.Ability to deliver effective presentations to internal and external senior-level audiences, using various media technologies.Strong negotiation skills with suppliers, contractors, and internal staff to ensure project milestones are met on time, within budget, and to the client’s satisfaction.Ability to manage client expectations and maintain high levels of satisfaction throughout the project’s duration. #J-18808-Ljbffr
