Sia Partners is present in Canada with offices in Montreal, Edmonton, Toronto, Calgary and Vancouver, and is now expanding in Ottawa.We are looking for a senior business consultant to work on one of our capital markets projects. The BA will work in close partnership with ambitious business stakeholders and technology teams on a broad range of initiatives varying in risk, size and complexity.Responsibilities:Working with Product Owner to create/update/refine User StoriesGathering and clarifying business requirements with business stakeholdersUsing monitoring tools to manage applications and respond to business/technical alerts raisedEffectively communicate and build rapport with team members, stakeholders and business partners using a variety of techniques and collaboration from initiation to closeSupports development and execution of strategic initiatives in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.Ability to analyze complex regulatory requirements and translate them into tangible business requirements.Experience in performing rules impact assessment and documentation.Strong problem-solving skills to address rule ambiguities and regulatory compliance issues.Experience with MiFID or II rules implementationExtensive experience in gathering and documenting business requirements, field mappings and transformation rulesFamiliarity with documenting traceability matrix from regulatory rules to business requirementsGood understanding of financial instruments in scope for MiFID regulation: OTC Derivatives, Exchange traded Derivatives, Repurchase agreements.Attention to detail to ensure accuracy in regulatory reporting and compliance documentation.Ability to quickly adapt to regulatory changes and document requirements to reflect these changes.Desire to continuously learn and stay updated on regulatory changes.Familiarity with data analysis and reporting tools (Excel, Power BI, etc).All your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.Sia Partners is an equal opportunity employer.
