VP - Health & Safety, Environment and Quality – Vancouver Our client is a leading General Contractor based in Vancouver; they are a recognized company in the civil infrastructure space across Canada. They are currently seeking to add a VP, HSEQ to their executive team. This is an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact within the organization by utilizing your expertise in HSEQ matters. The successful candidate will have the chance to review and enhance the current HSEQ program making all the necessary changes they see fit. Key Responsibilities:The Vice President - Health & Safety, Environment and Quality (“VP, HSEQ”) is accountable for the overall delivery of a high-performing HSEQ function across the operating companies, holding ultimate health and safety responsibility.Acts as the Company’s technical “subject-matter expert” on all HSEQ matters, driving a best-in-class HSEQ culture supported by information, reporting, and analytics.Leads and oversees the overall strategic planning, execution, and sustainability of the company’s health & safety, environmental, and quality functions.Works collaboratively with the Executive Team, operations, and other senior leadership to develop and implement effective HSEQ programs for managing critical risks and monitoring such programs for continuous improvement by applying industry best practices and standard policies and processes.Collaborates with each operation to develop a high-performance health, safety, environmental, and quality culture.Qualifications:A bachelor’s degree in occupational health & safety, industrial safety, environmental science would be preferred but open to different disciplines. An MBA or master’s degree in occupational health and safety would be an asset to the role.Minimum of fifteen (15) years of experience, including HSEQ leadership experience with organizations operating in multiple locations.
