Senior Java Developer

Level 3 Job Description: FX Systems: We are a leading global financial services firm providing a wide range of investment banking, securities, investment management and wealth management services. The Firm’s employees serve clients worldwide including corporations, governments, institutions, and individuals from more than 1,200 offices in 43 countries. As a Senior Java Developer in our FX Systems team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining software applications for our Foreign Exchange (FX) business. You will collaborate with other developers, architects, and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality, scalable, and reliable solutions that meet the needs of our clients and the Firm. Key Responsibilities: 1. Design and develop FX systems and related components using Java, Spring, and other relevant frameworks. 2. Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver solutions that meet the needs of the FX business. 3. Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including design, development, testing, deployment, and support. 4. Ensure code is maintainable, scalable, and adheres to best practices and industry standards. 5. Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and software development practices, and contribute to the continuous improvement of the FX systems. 6. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers on the team. 7. Participate in on-call rotation to support production systems. Skills and Qualifications: 1. Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related technical field. A master’s degree is a plus. 2. 5+ years of experience in software development, with a strong focus on Java and related technologies (e.g., Spring, Hibernate). 3. Strong understanding of object-oriented programming, design patterns, and software engineering best practices. 4. Experience developing and maintaining systems for the financial services industry, particularly in FX, is a strong advantage. 5.
