IO’s Project Delivery Enterprise Team delivers some of the province’s largest and most important public infrastructure projects, including new hospitals, highways, transit systems, and courthouses. Our made-in-Ontario approach to modern project delivery has brought over 100 major projects to market and has made Ontario a global leader in infrastructure development by delivering new projects on time and on budget while meeting high standards for design, quality, and health and safety.As a member of the Project Delivery Operations team, this role provides strategic and operational support to the Vice President to advance Project Delivery’s mandate. Responsibilities include analyzing issues, offering strategic advice, ensuring alignment with divisional objectives, and managing overall workflow activities. The successful candidate will oversee initiatives related to strategic planning, resource planning, and operational improvements.What You Will DoStrategic and Operational Support:Provide strategic and operational assistance to the Vice President of the Project Delivery division.Support divisional issues management and respond to high-priority executive requests.Track and report on divisional priorities to the leadership team.Divisional Strategy and Change Management:Lead the development of the multi-year divisional strategy and annual priorities.Lead select initiatives related to executing Strategic priorities.Collaborate with the Vice President on change management processes aligned with strategic objectives.Resource Planning and Management:Collaborate with internal functions (HR, Finance, and Program Management Office) to operationalize outcomes.Oversee resource planning, budget setting, and tracking/reporting for senior management within Project Delivery.Lead the development and implementation of resourcing process/model reforms as needed.HR Liaison and Issue Resolution:Work closely with the HR Team to manage resource-related processes (development planning, performance assessment, talent review).Identify and address issues, providing options for resolution.Stakeholder Relationship Management:Build and manage relationships with internal stakeholders to enhance operational effectiveness.Monitor portfolio performance and address risks related to divisional objectives and resourcing matters.Support the Manager and Advisor in strategic activities and performance management.What We’re Looking ForAbility to drive partnering across a wide variety of teams to develop effective solutions/outcomes.Ability to analyze complex data sets and distill into succinct reporting products for senior executive-level audiences.Innovative and highly organized thinker with the ability to tackle multiple complex tasks in a dynamic environment and take initiative while remaining focused on priority tasks.Effective and compelling communicator experienced in liaising with and presenting to groups with a wide range of professional backgrounds and varying levels of seniority.Understanding of Broader Public sector (Agency) policies, programs and the legislative and government decision-making processes.Strong relationship building skills with demonstrated experience in dealing directly with internal and external stakeholders, including 3rd party partners, to provide direction on priorities, negotiate, positively influence outcomes and to build consensus, as applicable.Experience in managing sensitive issues with tact, diplomacy, and sound judgment.Experience in a government advisory capacity, briefing and making recommendations to senior executives and staff.Background in business administration, commerce, or a relevant discipline.PMP (Project Management Professional) designation would be considered an asset.Change management knowledge/experience would be considered an asset.What's In It For You:Commitment to creating a diverse, equitable and inclusive culture that promotes a sense of belonging and represents and reflects the needs of the communities we serve.A flexible, hybrid work approach that allows colleagues to find balance between their professional and personal lives and making the most of the benefits of working remotely and purpose-driven in-person collaboration opportunities.A defined contribution pension plan, where IO contributes the equivalent of 5% of a full-time employee’s annual salary, with an option for IO to match an additional 5% contribution made by the employee.
