Join us now and point your career forward!Job Summary If you were to come on board as our Accounting Technician, we’d ask you to do the following for us:Implement and maintain payables procedure and policy with Operations.Responsible for complete accounts payable analysis and follow up for large vendor, for both Operations and Fixed Assets.Process aging outstanding invoices, corrections and journal entries in the system for Operations.Report analysis summaries as required to Senior Management for Compass and Vendor.Analyze and process all US drafts.Escalate issues to upper-level management as required.Think you have what it takes to be our Accounting Technician? Here’s how we’ll know you’ll be successful in the role:Post-secondary education in Accounting.Minimum of 2 years experience in Accounts Payable/Accounting.Very self-motivated, must be able to work independently and produce results.Able to be flexible and quickly adapt to changing business needs.Excellent analytical, time management, interpretive and problem-solving skills.Ability to manage multiple tasks and tight deadlines with a positive, can-do attitude.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of professional interaction with various levels of operations and other department managers.Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office (Intermediate to advanced user in Excel).Detail oriented and willingness to delve into problems for successful issue resolution.Able to work overtime when required.Administrate company vehicle tickets process, including verifying tickets and payment processing to ensure the tickets are paid on time.Ad hoc tasks assigned by management.Assets:Experience with JD Edwards.Bilingual (French).Compass Group Canada is committed to nurturing a diverse workforce representative of the communities within which we operate.
