Job Title: Vice President of Consulting ServicesLocation: Vancouver, BCJob OverviewAs a Vice President you will be responsible for the leadership of several technical business units, ensuring the highest standards of service delivery, and driving the strategic growth of our environmental services departments. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in environmental consulting, operations, and business management.Key ResponsibilitiesLeadership & Strategy: Provide strategic direction and leadership to the technical services business units, aligning with the company's vision and goalsTechnical Excellence: Ensure the delivery of high-quality, innovative technical solutions across all projectsBusiness Development: Collaborate with the business development manager and the Technical Department Heads to identify new opportunities and expand our client baseProject Oversight: Oversee the planning, execution, and completion of technical projects, ensuring they meet client expectations and regulatory requirementsTeam Management: Mentor, develop, and inspire a team of skilled professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement. All technical business unit department heads will report to this roleClient Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and ensuring their satisfactionCompliance & Standards: Ensure all projects adhere to environmental regulations and industry standardsFinancial Management: Oversee the technical business units’ budgets, optimizing resources and ensuring profitabilityQualificationsEducation: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field. A professional designation (e.g., P.Eng., P.Geo., R.P.Bio.) is required. CSAP designation would be considered an asset, as would business administration related education.Experience: Minimum of 15 years of experience in environmental consulting, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of provincial and federal environmental regulations, site assessment and remediation, and sustainability practices.Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead, inspire, and develop high-performing teams.Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively present complex information to diverse audiences.Business Acumen: Strong understanding of business operations, financial management, and strategic planning.Problem-Solving: Demonstrated ability to think critically and solve complex technical challenges.
