Job Requirements / Description

AdFarm, a 35+-year-old agri-marketing business whose PURPOSE is to be a catalyst for the evolution of agriculture. To help agriculture move forward, we are reinforcing the importance of service in how we work and behave—toward our clients, suppliers, connections, and of course, our fellow AdFarmers.

We all work together to bridge the gap between producer and consumer. We specialize in Strategic Planning, Creative Services, Public Relations, Media Planning, Marketing Science, Content Creation and Research.

Our clients all share a central focus in agriculture and food but range from multi-national corporations to start-ups in seed, crop protection and fertility, agtech, animal health, equipment and more. If you have experience working with this type of client—or want that experience—this role will be a great fit.

You will love it here if you follow these GUIDEPOSTS:

Are you being agile? Responding quickly to changes—from the client and in the marketing world. Making actionable decisions. Doing whatever it takes to get it done well—on time and on budget. Developing and following processes that allow for even greater effectiveness.

Are you being smart? Right from the start. Knowing when to ask, when to act and when to use all of your resources to solve a problem. Investing in yourself to keep up with the ever-evolving world of our clients—and our communications industry.

Are you being helpful? Pitching in when it counts and doing whatever it takes to do an amazing job for your clients. Having direct and difficult conversations when necessary. Setting clear expectations for you, your supervisor and your team.

As the Digital Media Specialist you’ll play a crucial role in developing and implementing digital media strategies for our clients. We’re looking for someone who thrives in a collaborative, dynamic environment and is passionate about making a significant impact on our clients’ digital success.

You’ll have success here if you value clear processes and feel qualified to do the following things:

  • Work closely with Media Planners to create detailed campaign plans, including budget allocation, targeting strategies, ad formats, and messaging.
  • Set up, manage, and optimize digital advertising campaigns across various platforms, such as Google Ads, Meta Ads, LinkedIn Ads, and programmatic advertising platforms.
  • Monitor campaign performance and make data-driven optimizations to improve key performance indicators (KPIs) like click-through rates, conversation rates, and return on ad spend.
  • Ensure campaigns are delivered on time, within budget, and in accordance with client expectations.
  • Expand the footprint and influence of digital capabilities and content optimizations within accounts.
  • Bring forth strategic digital recommendations based on data and insights to enhance client campaigns.

We train our team to help them succeed, and everyone on our team helps with our success. In this role, you’ll need to come to the table with the following skills and qualifications:

  • Up to date knowledge with the latest trends, tools, and best practices in digital advertising and media.
  • Willingness to conduct research on emerging technologies and platforms to identify innovative opportunities for clients.
  • Provide thought leadership within the agency and contribute to the development of digital media strategies and capabilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex ideas and campaign results to clients.
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising, communications, or related field.
  • Proven experience in digital media or similar role within a marketing agency or related industry.
  • In-depth knowledge or digital advertising platforms.
  • Excellent understanding of digital marketing concepts, including audience targeting, segmentation, and campaign optimization.
  • Familiarity with SEO principles, social media marketing, content marketing, and analytics.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Google Ads, Facebook Blueprint) are highly desirable.

We offer all employees 3% RRSP contributions on an annual basis, benefits with a Health Spending Account, Health and Cell Phone Reimbursements, and we can offer a hybrid working environment with a wonderful group of top talent individuals.

Our culture is paramount at AdFarm, so we hire according to values, mutual respect and ability to work collaboratively in a high-performing team.
